Content Management System (CMS)
A content management system is essential for businesses looking to keep ongoing website costs low while allowing instant changes to be made where time is of the essence.
The convenience of being able to update the text on your website at any time is great but the advantages extend beyond convenience. A CMS empowers businesses to keep their website fresh and dynamic — something many want to achieve but find their web development overhead cost prohibitive. Tweaking the wording on a page is suddenly easy, quick and an absolute pleasure. All types of media including images, video and pdfs can be used in your CMS.
5 web pages built from your text
Your text must be supplied in a Microsoft Word document or by email, and have clear indication of links and photos to be used on each page. The text received is considered final, and any changes required after the text has been supplied will be charged at our hourly rate of $165.
If new pages are required beyond the included 5, they can be added for an additional of $95 per extra page. Note that certain designs can accommodate additional pages more easily than others, and this should be considered when choosing the template.
Stock Photography
If no suitable images can be provided, we can use stock photography. Photos will be purchased according to the theme of your business. Images used in the example Micro Business Websites are for display purposes only. Stock photography is charged at $12 per photo.
Checklist
To build your website, we need the following:
- Payment of the invoice
- Confirmation of the design template and colour scheme to use
- Logo in digital format
- Tagline to use in the website header, if desired
- Text for each page as a Word document or email
- Photos to be included
Domain Name & Web Hosting Fees
For your website to be visible online, you'll need both a domain name (e.g. example.com) and a web hosting account.
Domain Name
If you already have a domain name, we can use that. Or, if you don't yet have a domain name, we can help you choose a suitable name, and register it for you. We charge $44 per year for .com domains and $99 every two years for .com.au domains.
Web Hosting
We have a hosting package especially for our Micro Business package for $150/year. It comes with 1GB of storage and 3 email addresses, is based here in Australia for super-fast access, operates on business-grade infrastructure, and comes with email and phone support.
Optional Extras
Strategic Web Planning Session: $275
Meet with one of our expert team to discuss your business and how best it can be taken online. We will discuss your logo and business colour scheme, what sort of customers you are seeking to attract, the text you need to write for your site, and how best to write it for maximum search engine rankings, what domain name you should choose and how you can integrate your new website into your business marketing. This planning session is ideal for people who are not sure where to start.
Additional Pages: $95 per extra page
